Cavolo Nero (Lacinato or Tuscan black kale) produces long, dark, strap-shaped leaves with a distinctive savoury depth of flavour. Popular for Italian cooking and soups. Taller and less frost-hardy than curly kales but highly productive from autumn into winter.
